Poverty Initiative

Note: This website hasn’t been updated in a while. For the more recent poverty-related activities of the Effective Altruism Foundation (Stiftung für Effektiven Altruismus), please refer to our main website.

The Poverty Initiative by the Effective Altruism Foundation (formerly GBS Switzerland) takes an evidence-based approach to reducing global poverty. Contrary to popular beliefs, poor countries are not doomed to stay poor and a lot can be done to effectively improve the living conditions of the poorest people on this planet. For now, this website is just a repository of articles and videos. More content will follow in the future.
